Focus on Energy expands energy efficiency incentives for 2026

Smart businesses know that controlling operational costs drives profitability. This year, Focus on Energy, We Energies energy efficiency partner, has significantly expanded its financial incentive programs to help your organization reduce energy expenses while improving facility performance.

Increased standard rebates across technologies Effective Jan. 1, 2026, standard cash rebates have increased 20%–30% across most equipment categories, including lighting systems, HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air and process systems. With hundreds of eligible products available, now is the ideal time to evaluate upgrades that can deliver immediate operational savings. Review current rebate amounts

Custom incentives for complex projects Focus on Energy has increased its custom incentive structure for projects involving specialized industrial process equipment or comprehensive system optimizations beyond standard equipment replacement. These incentives are calculated based on projected first-year energy savings from efficiency improvements or renewable energy integration. For low-payback projects (under one year), custom incentives now cover up to 100% of project costs, with a maximum of $50,000 per project. Important: Pre-approval is required before ordering equipment, issuing purchase orders or contracting services. Learn more about custom incentives

New construction and major renovation support Organizations planning new facilities or substantial expansions can now access enhanced incentives through the Focus on Energy new construction program, designed to offset capital costs while building in long-term energy efficiency from the ground up.
